The annual awards program includes companies of all sizes, from startups to those in the enterprise and honors both remote-first employers and companies in large tech markets across the U.S.

“We are beyond proud to be honored for our culture,” said Maureen Pistone, Wipfli principal and chief human resources officer. “In a time when the social contract between employees and companies is shifting, we have focused our talent and culture efforts on empowering associates with more flexibility and supporting them in holistic ways that transcend traditional definitions of benefits and culture.”

Pistone went on to say the award provides Wipfli associates with the security of a stable foundation, enabling them — and the clients they serve — to achieve their full potential.

Built In determines the winners of the Best Places to Work Awards based on an algorithm and by using company data about compensation and benefits. The program also weighs criteria such as remote and flexible work opportunities; diversity, equity and inclusion programs; and other people-first cultural offerings to ensure that their winners offer the kinds of benefits that candidates are searching for more frequently on the Built In website.
