Brad Werner is new industry leader in Wipfli’s construction and real estate group

Wipfli LLP, a top 20 national accounting firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Werner to the position of industry leader for the firm’s construction and real estate practice.

Werner, who joined Wipfli in 2012, brings 15 years of finance and operations experience to the practice. He has served as the Chicago market construction and real estate leader since 2018, responsible for client engagement, practice growth and talent development.

“Brad thrives on deep, strategic work,” said John Schwab, Wipfli’s outgoing construction and real estate leader and national industry lead. “He is an incredibly strong, people-centered advisor who has been highly successful in developing teams, collaborating with stakeholders and managing complex projects.”

“His experience in the construction and real estate sector, coupled with his ingrained commitment to connection and mentorship, make him a strong addition to our bench of national leaders,” Schwab continued.

Overseeing Wipfli’s construction and real estate practice, Werner will lead a team serving thousands of clients, nationally and internationally, in the construction, real estate and hospitality sectors. He will be responsible for leading the greater vision, strategy, operations and resources of the practice. 

Werner is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), NAIOP Chicago and The Chicago Building Congress.

He holds an MBA from Olivet Nazarene University. Werner will succeed Schwab who is transitioning out of a dual role to focus exclusively on national industry leadership.
