Wipfli LLP (Wipfli), a national accounting and consulting firm, announced that it has been chosen by Microsoft as the winner of 2019 MSUS Partner Award – Partner for Social Impact.
Wipfli was selected for the top honor this year from a field of more than 100,000 companies for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
Wipfli won this award for its work with Team Rubicon, a disaster relief organization. Partnering with Microsoft, Wipfli developed a volunteer management system that has helped Team Rubicon transform their operations to get volunteers and equipment where they need to be and better measure their dollar-for-dollar impact.
“We are very honored to be recognized at a national level by Microsoft for our work in nonprofit sector. This social impact award complements the dedication of our nonprofit and government industry, which works with organizations to imagine how far they can go and helps increase their community impact by leveraging our services — including strategy, talent, technology, compliance, outsourcing, process improvement and more”, said Steve Lipton, Nonprofit and Government practice leader at Wipfli.
“The volunteer management system we helped build enables Team Rubicon to more effectively leverage the skills of military veteran volunteers to help communities prepare for and respond to natural disasters” added Lipton. “It helps Team Rubicon’s leaders see which volunteers are available at any given time and more efficiently deploy those volunteers to where they are needed. It also helps them manage operations, training, equipment, donors and more.”
Wipfli will be recognized at the Microsoft Inspire Conference in Las Vegas on July 18, 2019.
