Arlene Levin and Sara Mikuta have been honored as influential women in business by the suburban Chicago Daily Herald Business Ledger.
The Influential Women in Business awards are presented to outstanding women executives and entrepreneurs who excel in the business, civic and personal arenas. They were nominated by their peers and the final honorees were selected by a panel of Daily Herald Business Ledger executives.
Levin is a senior partner in Wipfli small business services group and the Chicago region lead for our business advisory services.
During her 34-year career, Levin has contributed the firm’s growth by providing compassionate client service to closely-held business owners and their families, building many long-term multi-generational relationships and working collaboratively with clients’ professional advisory teams.
Levin also helps professional women expand their roles in the Chicago business community through her membership in Exclusive Professional Women’s Networking Group. She also serves as the treasurer for the Cancer Wellness Center.
Mikuta leads the risk advisory services team for Wipfli’s financial institutions practice and co-leads the firm’s Chicago market financial institutions practice. With more than 40 years of experience, she brings the depth of knowledge and experience needed to provide clients with the necessary tools to be successful in their endeavors.
In addition, Mikuta is passionately involved in paving the way for tomorrow’s CPAs. She is president of the Board of Directors for the Illinois CPA Society’s CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois and a board member of the Illinois Board of Examiners. She volunteers with Pillars of Community Health.
Both are members of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
