Expanded Consulting Offerings Place Wipfli on Two Top National Technology Lists
Monday, August 20, 2018
Wipfli LLP (Wipfli), a national accounting and consulting firm, announced that it has placed within the top 15 on two separate top 100 value-added resellers (VAR) rankings for 2018. Accounting Today and Bob Scott’s Insights report named the firm number 12 and 11, respectively, out of ranked businesses. Both lists compare annual revenues of finance-related technology resellers, consultants and implementers in the accounting software space.
Using a blend of firm combinations and organic growth, Wipfli has been resolute in developing its service line offerings to better serve clients across industries. This focus has steered the building of a robust technology consulting practice that includes industry enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, cloud solutions, business intelligence and other technology consulting solutions, and has brought in a combined revenue of $43.3 million — approximately 15% of the firm’s total revenue.
“Clients expect technology systems that are designed to meet their unique business needs, and we are committed to working with them to find the right solutions,” says Ken Kortas, partner and leader of Wipfli’s technology consulting services. “Our focus on providing industry-driven cloud solutions has helped propel our growth. We are honored to have appeared continually on these top VAR industry lists and are eager to continue climbing up the rankings as we expand our consulting solutions to more holistically support our clients.”
Wipfli finds itself in line with the reported trends distinguishing many on the VAR lists — from using smarter technology and cloud-based platforms to promoting a reinvigorated focus on security following the continued rise of data breaches. With its technology consulting revenue up $9.2 million from 2017, the firm largely has experienced high sales of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, AX, GP, SL; Microsoft 365 for Sales and Operations; NetSuite; and Sage Intacct.
Based on the firm’s client-focused philosophy and extensive industry knowledge, Wipfli’s growing technology practice takes a hands-on, collaborative approach to helping businesses overhaul and introduce financial systems and processes to determine effective solutions.
