Anna Kooi is a partner and leads Wipfli’s financial services practice. She has more than 20 years of experience in serving a variety of public and private clients in the financial services industry. Anna has advised clients ranging from startups to Fortune 50, bringing deep industry knowledge to the clients she services.
Carlos Vega
Carlos Vega is a diversified digital strategy and transformation expert who has worked in multiple senior roles in strategic planning, finance and IT. He has held various senior digital transformation roles for some of the largest automotive and automotive finance organizations in the world, along with large financial institutions, banking software companies and fintech startups. He is passionate about breaking down customer frustration points by building engaging experiences using data, research and emerging technologies. Carlos believes the status quos in many industries needs to be challenged and reinvented in order to evolve and survive due to the current digital evolution.
Carrie Connell, CPA
Carrie Connell began her career in audit in 2003 and today works in our risk advisory group with clients primarily in the financial services industry. She is experienced in both public and nonpublic financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits, regulatory compliance audits and fraud and forensic accounting. On numerous occasions, Carrie has assisted de novo institutions in transitioning from an organizational stage to fully operational companies. She specializes in administering and performing Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance for accelerated filers and smaller reporting companies, FDICIA compliance and operational and financial internal audits.
Joseph D. Paroubek, CPA
Joe Paroubek brings more than 15 years of experience to his financial institution clients, with specific skills in external audit and accounting and control issues that specifically impact financial institutions. Joe also has extensive commercial loan review experience. He has worked with large banks to develop internal control narratives and testing programs to assist them with FDICIA compliance requirements. Bringing additional value to his clients, Joe also assists with various agreed-upon procedure engagements and internal control reviews.
