Wipfli names Carrie Connell to partnership in Atlanta office

Wipfli is pleased to announce Carrie Connell has been promoted to the position of partner.
Connell joins eight other Atlanta-based partners, bringing the total to nine in the Southeast U.S. region for Wipfli.

“Her deep experience in risk advisory services and commitment to client service, as well as her strong leadership and interpersonal skills, will add immeasurable value to our firm and our financial services practice for years to come," he said.
Connell has more than 16 years’ experience in public accounting and has experience in both public and non-public financial statement audits, regulatory compliance audits, mergers and acquisition accounting, COSO 2013, FDICIA readiness and internal controls. She also has experience helping financial institutions develop risk assessment tools.
Connell also works closely with financial institution clients of all sizes, in a wide variety of markets. She has helped newly chartered financial institutions become fully operational companies, and administered and performed Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and FDICIA compliance for multi-billion dollar institutions.
Connell donates her time to various organizations such as the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Georgia Bankers Association, Georgia Credit Union Affiliates and more. Within the firm, she has also helped with internal training programs and college recruiting efforts.
Connell is a certified public accountant and has both a bachelor’s and master’s in accounting from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
Connell's promotion became effective October 1, 2019, when Porter Keadle Moore associates and partners joined Wipfli.
