Wipfli Moves Up on Accounting Today’s Top 100 List

Wipfli LLP (Wipfli), a national accounting and consulting firm, follows a strong year of strategic growth by landing as the twentieth-largest CPA firm by revenue on Accounting Today’s 2018 Top 100 Firms List — up one spot from 2017. The annual rankings report also included a breakout of leading firms by geography, in which Wipfli was highlighted as the second-highest performer in the Great Lakes region; one of only three regions that outperformed the previous year.
Logging an impressive growth of 22.05% over the previous year, Wipfli set itself apart as a pacesetter among others listed who collectively averaged 6.33% in growth. Managing Partner Rick Dreher explains that a key element for Wipfli’s development has been combining with other firms. “Wipfli will continue to grow through mergers and acquisitions in new geographies and expansion of existing and new industry and solution expertise.”
Organic growth also accounted for a portion of the firm’s impressive increase, which includes providing value-added services, focusing on more holistically serving clients and looking further into the client experience. “These will focus on helping our clients navigate the changing industry landscapes primarily through our value-added consulting solutions and capturing the value of more efficient delivery of our core services,” says Dreher.
Welcoming in over 1,000 new clients and helping existing clients find new solutions and leverage opportunities, Wipfli took a proactive approach to strengthening the firm’s industry presence.
With two firms already joining the Wipfli footprint in 2018 and an expanded plan for bringing new services to individuals, businesses and industry professionals, Wipfli continues to expand its network of skilled professionals in an effort to better serve clients and broaden its reach.
