Why attend
The CARES Act provided additional funding to address the needs of tribal governments resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding created new compliance and record-keeping requirements to ensure CARES Act funding was properly spent by the recipient and sub-recipients. The new compliance and required record-keeping requirements will have a significant impact on audit periods where CARES Act funding was expended.
Description
This webinar is designed specifically for tribal governments and other governmental entities. It will provide an overview of CARES Act funding and the impact it will have on recipients and sub-recipients for upcoming audits. Attendees will learn compliance requirements for new programs created through the CARES Act, required documentation for expenses incurred and the impact it will have on financial statements and disclosures. We will provide case studies based on Wipfli’s experience and knowledge in the tribal government space.
Learning objectives:
- Overview of new programs created and the compliance requirements for new programs.
- Record-keeping and documentation needed to ensure compliance with CARES Act.
