Advanced Preparation: None
Level: Intermediate
Prerequisite: None
Field of Study: Specialized Knowledge
CPE*: 1.5 credit(s)
Description
Preserving and protecting your information — and your rights as an employer — starts by having the right policies and procedures in place even before employment begins, as well as during employment, as you learn of their departure and after employment is terminated. Your information and your risk also apply to those programs being performed by subgrantees. We’ll discuss key considerations for preparing not only your organization but your subgrantees.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn the reality of how departing employees or external actors can impact an organization.
- Discuss what organizations (or subgrantees) can do prior to an external breach or before, during or when an employee’s employment ends to protect themselves.
- Identify what you need to consider when subgrantees are involved.
