In the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners report in the 2020 Report to the Nations, CFEs estimate that organizations lose 5% of revenue to fraud each year. What would a loss of that magnitude mean to your organization? Does the Board understand how fraud occurs in organizations? Is the Board appropriately managing fraud risk? Does the Board understand what its role is in managing fraud risk? This session will identify fraud risks to organizations and ways the Board can steer the organization to meet this risk head on.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the appropriate role for the Board in managing the organization’s fraud risk.
- Explore whether you are sending the right message to the organization’s stakeholders.
- Identify key fraud risk management opportunities for the Board.
