Director, Skilled Nursing and ALF Accounts Receivable/Revenue Cycle

Mary Gerberich’s current role as a nursing home accounts receivable director includes providing training to staff on accounts receivable, starting with the admission process, continuing with processing of claims and denials, and ending with collection of payments from all payor sources.  She also provides training on Medicare Part A and Part B claims processing using FISS.  This includes educating staff on how to follow claims through FISS and process RTP and adjustments; using FISS to review HCPCS, reason codes, and denial codes; and processing straight claims, partial claims paid by private insurance, and coinsurance claims for Medicare Part A and Part B using the Medicaid Forward Health portal.

Mary also provides business office consultations, assists clients in monthly accounts receivable journal entries, and provides accounts receivable phone consultation and outsourced billing services in Medicaid, Medicare Part A and Part B, coinsurance, Medicare Advantage, and private pay.
