Facing persistent reporting issues and disconnected systems, Weifield Group needed a partner who could step in, stabilize their technology environment and set them up for long-term success. As their trusted accounting firm, Wipfli mobilized a team of their colleagues to quickly resolve key pain points — from fixing Sage Intacct reporting to integrating third-party tools.
The Challenge
Weifield Group was struggling with getting everything they needed from a reporting perspective from Sage Intacct. During their implementation process, they worked with different teams that could not meet their specific needs, making it hard for the team to operate efficiently or scale effectively. Weifield Group also faced issues with:
- Generating accurate aging schedules.
- Support and documentation post-implementation.
- Missing reports.
- Integration with third-party software.
The Solution
Within a week, Wipfli had resolved the reporting issues. To help ensure their long-term success, we provided biweekly support for a year and documented Weifield Group’s Sage Intacct environment in an 85-page guide and introduced DataBlend for system integration. In addition, Wipfli helped optimize their Salesforce instance and implemented Ramp for credit card transactions and management, which proved to be a cost-effective alternative to Concur.
We’ve been able to bundle a lot of our stuff with Wipfli. And I know when we have a question, they get back to me with an answer or provide a resource we can work with. Wipfli has been great to work with because they have a broad stroke of resources and subject matter experts.
The results
Enhanced reporting capabilities, integration of various systems and better workflow management have led to improved employee satisfaction and control over accounting processes. By automating reporting, Weifield Group improved visibility and sped up its internal close by five days, allowing a faster turnaround for project forecasting. They also experienced improved credit card reimbursables, reducing the processing time from seven days to three, and saved $60K on API overage charges for six months. Likewise, the introduction of DataBlend and Ramp saved the company from hiring at least one additional full-time staff member, significantly reducing costs.
