GREEN BAY, WIS. (September 25, 2006) — Rick Dreher, CPA, MST, was recently elected to the role of Managing Partner of Wipfli LLP, a CPA and consulting firm with offices in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He is the sixth person to hold this title in the firm’s 75-year history. In his new role, Dreher will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the firm and its more than 700 associates. He is based at Wipfli’s Green Bay office. This move allows Greg Barber, who has completed his term as managing partner, to return to client service and assist with growth and development efforts in the Madison/Milwaukee markets. 

Dreher, who has been with Wipfli since 1990 and most recently served as the leader of the firm’s Tax Services, is also a member (and now chairman) of Wipfli’s board of directors. He has vast experience in providing business consultation and taxation services to a broad spectrum of businesses and industries, with particular expertise in closely held businesses. Prior to joining Wipfli, Dreher was with the Milwaukee offices of Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Dreher is a member of several professional organizations related to his field of expertise including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA). Active in his community, Dreher is president of the board of directors for Cerebral Palsy, Inc. He is the past president and treasurer of the Green Bay West Rotary Club, as well as the past president and past treasurer of St Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Dreher holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
