MINNEAPOLIS (July 31, 2006) — Lauri Roberts, CPA, recently assumed the role of partner in charge of the Twin Cities region of Wipfli LLP, a CPA and consulting firm with offices in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Roberts is as the first female regional partner in charge for Wipfli. The move allows Wipfli’s previous regional partner in charge, Gary Surdel, more time to focus on clients in the Twin Cities’ commercial and individual markets.

Roberts, who has 20 years of taxation and wealth management experience, has most recently been leading the firm’s Private Client Services Group.

“I have always believed that our clients are best served through a team approach,” says Roberts. “The Twin Cities region of Wipfli is comprised of an incredible team of experts who are committed to helping our clients achieve their goals. I am excited about the opportunity to lead the Wipfli firm in this growing region.” 

Roberts is a licensed certified public accountant in Minnesota. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MNCPA). She currently serves on the finance committee for the Jeremiah Program, a supportive housing program for single mothers and their children. This fall, Roberts will join the organization’s board of directors. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Minneapolis.

Roberts holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn.
