Las Vegas, Nev. (May 22, 2006) — On July 10-12, 2006, senior management representing small and rural community hospitals from across the nation will convene at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas for the second annual Rural and Community Hospital Symposium and Management Conference. The conference will be hosted by Wipfli LLP, a consulting firm serving clients across the nation with over 70 health care experts on staff. Seventy percent of Nevada’s rural hospitals have already registered for the conference as members of Nevada Rural Hospital Partners, a consortium of Nevada rural and frontier hospitals.
According to Charlie Myers of Banner Churchill Hospital (a Nevada Rural Hospital Partners member facility) in Fallon, Nev., Wipfli’s 2005 Rural and Community Hospital Symposium and Management Conference was “more valuable than any other conference I have attended in the past because it all tied together.” Myers’ positive feedback about last year’s conference generated tremendous enthusiasm within the NRHP and convinced the organization to provide funds from its education budget to the attendees.
During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from many of Wipfli’s experts in informative, interactive sessions. The workshops cover all areas within a hospital that are not performing as well as they could be and take a very hands-on approach to learning. As a result, CEOs, CFOs, trustees, and senior leadership will enhance their knowledge on topics such as building the right culture, service line strategic planning, developing balanced scorecards, risk assessment, and facility planning and financing. Those attending the conference can earn continued professional education (CPE) credits for their participation in the various workshops.
To learn more about the conference or register for it, click here or call Sylvia Weise at (715) 858-6631. Those who register before May 31 will receive the “early bird” rate of $595/person. After May 31, the rate will be $695/person. (Price breaks are available for organizations sending at least two attendees.)
