Pat Brault

Principal, Regional Director Wipfli Hewins Investment Advisors

Pat frequently helps investors understand the true meaning of diversification. One common belief is that working with multiple advisors and having investments with many different groups reduces risk. "Instead", Pat points out, "multiple relationships can create a complex management process and make it difficult for the investor—a single individual or an institutional, multi-member investment committee—to truly manage risk."

Our firm was founded on the belief that real diversification comes from a fee-only, fully transparent fiduciary model, in which broadly diversified asset allocation is designed into and managed through an Investment Policy Statement (IPS). As a consultant, my job is to help clients build their plan, find the right resources and monitor the investments against agreed upon benchmarks with a disciplined, low-cost process."

In addition to his work with specific institutions, foundations and endowments, Pat also provides financial wellness seminars to help organizations provide objective financial education and promote healthy financial lives for their employees.

Originally from Green Bay, WI, where his father was the founder of the Packer Hall of Fame, Pat has spent his entire life, beginning with Packer games at Lambeau field, building strong, solid relationships. He and his wife Kathy have raised their three daughters in several towns in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, where he’s fostered strong ties to the community and worked with clients long enough to understand the impact of his work in these communities. "That," says Pat, "is the real payoff. I like to see my clients able to create their own legacies, because they plan early and manage wisely."
