Susan Sowatzke joins Wipfli LLP as manager in construction and real estate industry practice

Wipfli LLP, an international accounting, tax and consulting firm, announced today that Susan Sowatzke has joined the firm as a tax manager in its construction and real estate industry practice. Sowatzke, who brings significant accounting and tax experience to the firm having held various positions in public accounting and private industry for over 25 years, will be based in Wipfli's Milwaukee office.
In her new role, Sowatzke will leverage her strong technical experience and keen understanding of the construction, real estate, and hospitality industries to deliver quality, proactive tax planning and compliance services to businesses and individuals involved in construction or real estate development.

Previously, Sowatzke served as a corporate accountant with Continental Properties Company, as CFO for Tricast, Inc. and as controller for Serv-U Prescription Services. She also worked with several CPA and consulting firms, including a Big Four firm.
Sowatzke holds a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where she currently serves on the Continuing Professional Education Planning Committee for the organization’s TGIF program. Sowatzke is currently pursuing her masters in taxation at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
