Wipfli LLP’s Construction and Real Estate Practice is a proud sponsor of the upcoming State Bar of Wisconsin program, Top Business & Risk Tips for the Construction Industry. The program, presented by the Construction and Public Contract Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, AGC of Greater Milwaukee and the AIA-Wisconsin, will be held February 16, 2011 at the Country Springs Hotel, Pewaukee.

Today’s top construction industry specialists will update attendees on the legal and business concerns frequently faced, before, during and after construction projects. Practical solutions for immediate implementation will be provided through audience and panel discussions.

Wipfli’s Ken Kortas, CPA, will serve as a program presenter and panel member. Ken has nearly 20 years of management and information technology consulting experience and is a partner in Wipfli’s Consulting Group and a leader within Wipfli’s construction and real estate practice. He works closely with construction and real estate clients to understand the people, process, and technology issues they are facing and develop solutions to address their needs. Ken will specifically address Cloud Computing for the Construction Industry: Opportunities and Risks. Cloud computing is supposed to rid your company of the responsibility of managing hardware and software, but is it as easy and cost effective as advertisers suggest? Ken will highlight the advantages and risks involved when implementing cloud computing and share resources available for help managing your data in a cloud.

This program is designed especially for owners, developers, general contractors and subcontractors, design professionals, material suppliers and their lawyers.
